Performing together since 2006, Shadow Cabinet has become one of the premier live acts in Central Florida. The band specializes in danceable alternative from the 80s, 90s, and 00s. Inspired by The Cure, INXS, U2, Talking Heads, and the other great bands of the new wave explosion of the early MTV years, Shadow Cabinet delivers spot-on renditions of tunes that are fun and bring back memories. But it's not all oldies. They also perform material from the 90s and 00s by artists such as Sublime, Dave Matthews, The Killers, Weezer, Coldplay, and MGMT.
Recently they completed their first recording, a 5-song EP. You can buy a copy now at any of the band's shows, but if you can't get there you can download it from your favorite online music seller. You can click on the link below to go to Myspace, where you can listen to the songs from the CD. You can also preview the new songs that the band is currently writing and recording. If you tune in to "Sunday Night Vinyl" on WTKS 104.1 Sundays 7pm-10pm you just might catch one of the tunes from the CD. The debut CD has also been played on internet radio stations from around the US and as far away as Argentina.
